Can I bring my own items to smash?
You sure can!
But you need to get approval from us first.
Email us at hello@thesmashroom.com.au at least two days before your booking, and let us know what you plan to bring.
We're pretty flexible, so even if you don't receive our reply in time, bring your items down with you and let the staff know when you arrive.
Common sense applies here. If it's unsafe or difficult to dispose, we can't let you bring it in. No food, liquid, or bulky items. Also, no lithium batteries, so if you want to bring a laptop, please remove the battery first.
Things that we allow you to bring are items such as beer bottles, jars, mirrors, plates, mugs, monitors, TV's, keyboards, computers etc.
How much does it cost to visit The Smash Room
Prices are $60 per person, which includes a huge selection of smashables (such as mugs, plates, glasses and more).
We also provide clean and sanitised safety clothing hire including overalls, a face shield, earplugs, and gloves.
Your entry fee also includes access to our UV table tennis area, arcade game machines and more.

Not to worry. Anyone who has a gift card, voucher or has been quoted for a group booking in 2022 will be able to redeem their booking at no extra cost. Simply email hello@thesmashroom.com.au and our friendly team will assist in processing your booking.
Why did we increase our prices?
In January 2023 we slightly increased our prices to $60 per person. It was a hard decision but as the costs of overheads, wages, and general goods have increased dramatically, it left us no choice but to increase our prices slightly, so we can continue to operate.
We believe that we provide great value for money, even with at new price.
What you get from a smash room visit:
- The largest amount of smashable materials from any smash room in Aus
- Free access to all other facilities in the venue including our glow in the dark table tennis area
- Clean and sanitised safety clothing
- Hosted by a team of friendly and skilled staff
- An amazing time

No. Pregnant women are not permitted to participate or enter in a Smash Room under any circumstances.

Please visit this page: https://thesmashroom.com.au/pages/rules-policy
Can I bring more people with me that weren't on my original booking?
Absolutely - the more the merrier!
Additional people can simply pay when they arrive, so there's no need to modify or update the booking.
Do I need to arrive earlier than my booking time?
You should aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment, so you
have enough time to complete your sign-in, induction and get changed into your
safety clothing.
If you don’t arrive on time, you risk not completing your sign-in and induction
on time, which will result in reducing the amount of time you have in The Smash
Room.
If you arrive after your session time has started you may be asked to wait
until the next free time slot, but keep in mind that we book out in advance, so
there may not be any further available Smash Rooms on that day.
We know that things happen out of your control from time to time but late
arrivals can usually be avoided with good travel planning in advance.

Our safety clothing has been designed to protect you from any flying debris however there are two types we offer; thin and thick clothing. If you have any bare skin, then you must wear our thick protective clothing, whereas if you have pants and long sleeves on when entering the venue, you can wear the lighter protective wear.
When in a room, debris can form on the ground, and if stepped on, can be slippery, so smashers should avoid standing on broken pieces when in a Smash Room.
Our Smash Rooms have been designed to abide by COVID-safe and square-metre rules, meaning we've taken care of all the annoying bits, so you can have a great time.
Councils, lawyers and insurers have given us the big green tick of approval, meaning that we're compliant and fully safe!
What’s the difference between The Smash Room and a break room or rage room?
See for yourself!
A rage room, break room or rage cage is commonly known as a venue where people go to release anger.
The Smash Room is a totally new approach to this industry, promoting great times, enforcing cleanliness and giving customers transparent and fair pricing.
The Smash Room is the only centre in Australia that allows groups of people to join in one room together.
What sizes does the safety clothing come in?
Our safety overalls range from XS to 7XL.
If you are unable to comfortably wear our safety clothing, then you are welcome to bring your own overalls or thick-material clothing.

Thin clothing material will not be permitted.
Is the safety clothing and equipment clean?
Yes, we pride ourselves on ensuring that customers only receive clean and sanitised safety equipment and clothing.

If you do not notify us of a cancellation in advance of your booking time, then your booking will be considered a no-show which is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Refunds processed take between 5 - 10 business days to clear to the original payment method.
What happens if I don't arrive for my booking?
No-shows are not be eligible for refunds or reschedules because the room you book has been specifically reserved for you at a timeslot, which means that no one else would have had the chance to book that room.
Because a certain number of staff are rostered to work to cater for the number of people booked in each day, and preparation goes in to each booking before people arrive, it is unreasonable to offer refunds for no-shows.
We understand that life throws unexpected things our way, and we try to be as accommodating as possible, but if we don't hear from you in advance and your booking is a no-show, then your booking will be non-refundable, as per our terms and conditions you accept when making the original booking.
What happens if some people in my group can't make it?
If you notify us at least 48 hours in advance of your booking (email or phone), then we can reschedule or refund anyone that cannot attend.
If we do not hear about anyone who can't attend until you arrive, then anyone missing will be considered a no-show and their booking will be forfeited and non-refundable or non-reschedulable.
Your host may offer you the ability to utilise the booking value as extra credit on the day to spend on upgrades or more crates, but this is solely the decision of the host and is not an expectation.
Should I reschedule if it's too hot or too cold?
Too cold?
We provide protective clothing that is sure to keep you nice and warm on those cold Melbourne winter days, plus all that swinging of bats and throwing bottles against the wall is sure to warm you up.

We take recycling very seriously which is why we've partnered with the local council to have various types of material recycled in different ways.
Our e-waste, ceramic, glass, and plastics are all separated so that they can be turned into other items.
We recycle everything that we possibly can.
Unfortunately not everything can be recycled, however we are extending our research and searching for more alternative recycling methods.
